This is related to how we tend to like music of the era we grew up in, and think older music is boring, and newer music is inferior. Or the psychological principle that our first offer anchors a number, for some reason, into the recipient’s heads. Our reality is shaped by a few core ideas, which frame the way we think of everything else.
